military

MALE RPAS is a project funded under the program EDIDP which is part of the military funding from the EU.

Description

Directly awarded – MALE RPAS (Medium Altitude/Long Endurance drone): a strategic enabler for surveillance, intelligence and surveillance. The MALE RPAS is an indispensable capability to facilitate international conflict prevention and crisis management during all phases of operation, especially in the field of Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR). The development of a European MALE RPAS will ensure technological sovereignty by covering the ISTAR European Capability Development Priority. To maximize benefits, the European MALE RPAS should be integrated into civil air-traffic-management without any significant limitations. A strong European supply chain, embedded into the program through open tenders across all levels, will foster the European Defence Technological and Industrial Base (EDTIB).
